The JEANTET company
The JEANTET factory was founded in 1816 in Saint-Claude, France. It previously operated a turnery producing in particular wooden shanks for porcelain pipes and wild cherry wood pipes. Over the years, the company increased their production of boxwood and briar pipes. In 1930’s, Jeantet firm decided to only manufacture briar pipes. Jeantet firm was merged in the Cuty Fort Group (est. 1987 and headed by Chapuis-Comoy & Cie) in 1988. Today, Jeantet pipes are manufactured in the Chapuis-Comoy workshops.
