The French Pipe n°5 (smooth finish) is a lightweight and straight briar pipe with a rounded and easy-to-handle bowl. Thanks to its flat bottom, it can stand on its own. This elegant smoking pipe is adorned with a stylish blue and white acrylic ring reminiscent of the timeless “marinière”, the emblem of French chic. This French Pipe is sold in a branded cotton drawstring dustbag with a classic 3-way Czech pipe tool, 20 long matches (9 cm) and a beginner’s guide.

THE FRENCH PIPE are made at the Chapuis-Comoy & Cie workshops near Saint-Claude, birth place of the briar pipe, by a team of creative diehards who preserve traditional processes and pipemaking techniques.
This lighweight briar pipe can accommodate a 6mm balsa filter. Balsa is a soft and fibrous wood with 100% natural absorption capacities. It will retain condensation and impurities without affecting the taste of the tobacco. We suggest to replace the Balsa filter every 2-3 uses for optimal efficiency.
